About The Event
On Saturday August 8, 2020, the Deep Water Initiative had planed to host a Religion & Ecology Film Festival at Temple Har Shalom in Park City, Utah. Due to Covid-19, we have had to postpone this event, and reschedule the festival to the NEW DATE of Sunday August 8, 2021.
The event will be the first annual Religion & Ecology Film Festival that will highlight filmmakers and artists whose work deals with the intersection between humans, their respective mediums of faith, and the more-than-human Earth community (i.e. plants, animals, fungi etc.). Film is an artistic medium that can be used to transform our way of seeing the world, and can expand our capacity to engage more deeply with the human experience. It can help us question our own worldviews, cultural standards and norms. We’d like to invite you to participate in this event by donating to this cause.
More information will be posted on our website in the coming months.
